We flew out to San Diego over Labor Day weekend to see our new grandbaby, Micah!!!! Parker, Kendall and Eva drove down, about 9 hours, and we all stayed at Luke and Hannah's house!! Oh my goodness, how wonderful was this 💗💗💗 My heart and soul needed to be with my family! Sadly, it had been 1 year since we saw Eva ðŸ˜. That is way too long.
While we were there we visiting the San Diego Zoo, during record breaking heat wave (only 114 degrees) all while wearing our mask!!! But we handled it well and survived. We went to the beach, because you got to see the pacific ocean when you are RIGHT there at it. Unfortunately, it was crowded, so not as enjoyable as I would have like it to be (heat wave was still kicking too). The best part of the trip was all being together and meeting Micah!!! Such a sweet baby💖

A GOOD TIME HAD BY ALL!!! At the time of our trip, the country was dealing with so much!! Not only did we fear COVID, but the violence and rioting would just start up so fast and so randomly, you just never knew what was going to happen, and in California- the wild fires were ramped. There was a fire that started south of San Diego that we could see when we left the zoo. Then the day Parker, Kendall and Eva left and returned home, they were faced with a wildfire very close to them, it was dark and raining ash for days with the air filled with smoke!
