Since the week of October 15th, we have not been able to burn! The drought is too bad for a permit and the wind has been too strong. So this has been frustrating! Our plan was to burn the present pile and to begin cleaning out the big barn. So, plan B, we tried to clear out all non-burnable things and haul them away. We haven't been able to do this due to the landfill being shutdown for months. But on Oct. 22nd it re-opened! Whoop! (funny the things you can get excited about). So, no pictures to show, but we hauled off 2 large loads of stuff. The landfill closes at 12, so we had to work quick!
October 29th- Still no burn permit! ugh, stankin drought. Today we hauled off a ton (well not literally) scrap metal. Had to go to 2 places before we found someone who would let us dump it, but so nice to have that gone!
