November & December

Updates around the house in November:
We always wondered what the side of the barn looked like under the metal!  I'm sure at the time it was put on, the side was starting to look rough, but now it may actually look better than the rest of it.

The side WITHOUT the Metal!!!  Only a few bad spots, but so much better! The metal was on so long, no one hardly remembers it not being on it!

Thanksgiving with the RAYs💖 at Nancy & Ralph's in South Carolina.  Always so much fun when we can be together, and this year we were almost all there.  I think Parker, Kendall and Eva, Luke and Hannah were the only ones missing😩

 Back at home:
We made my desk😍😍😍!!  We built the bottom part and the top is an old door we found in the rafters of the pack house.  I bought my chair for $5 and recovered it and stained the wood on arms and legs, and installed the tool rack.

We've been working on getting this bed ready. We added rock and this antique planter, and planted a boxwood.

DECEMBER:

Guess who has arrived in MOULTRIE a few days before Christmas!!!

A few weeks after the fire, they were able to reunite with all family members, then decided to come to Georgia for a little while before deciding on their next move.  We couldn't be more excited to have them here.  We are terribly sorry for the reason and feel a bit guilty for being so excited, but we can't help it - we are so excited!!  There are some extremely kind people in this world! Strangers who worked at a cafe in Burney where Parker & Kendall ate several times, got together and gave them tons of clothes and baby items for Eva- Just out of the blue!  Then a man, another stranger, gave them this camper!! Just gave it to them!  Gifts straight from Heaven!  What a blessing.  Then a gentleman decided he needed to sell his fathers truck, which was perfect for pulling this camper. Done!  Prayers being answered, one after another!  It floors me, and brings tears to my eyes still today.  So across the country they drive, again, this time with a 3 month old baby (and 2 dogs).

Christmas Eve with the Clements @ Mary and Phil's house! Always so fun! One of my all time favorite traditions. My Great Aunt Ann started hosting this party at Myra's house way back, my guess in the 60's, and the family hasn't missed a year. (Ann and Myra are my Granma's sisters - my moms side)

Cutest Reindeer, ever!!

The John Rays all together!! This does NOT happen often, and is always so special when it does happen.  Our first time hosting Christmas morning at our new house.  And we have 2 new babies this year.  Wyatt, son of Bo and Tat, was born Aug. 4, 2018, and then Eva born Sept. 18, 2018, they are 6 weeks apart. I pray they are great friends all through life.
